I wanted to present the theme of peace. People often think dove symbolise peaceful and instead of using normal materials, I though of using hands. It would be seeking people's attentions or be more interesting. It is quite rare for people to use hands as a material. I was thinking about drawing the dov's head then use the hands as the wings. As you can see the third one, I was thinking about using paper pieces and stick them together and form a dove. You could use paper in newspaper so you could make the shadow part.
My another theme is "Time Flies". I chose this theme becuase time is important to lots of peopple including us. I chose a clock and wings as because clock apparently represents time, wings represent flying away. It could instantly let people know the meaning of the symbol. It is simple and easy to understand. The video basically talks about the American airline's commercial. As the person is in the airplane, since the airplane is fliying, time flies as well. So I came up with this idea of showing the symbol of "time flies." I would like to use feathers for the third drawing. I thought of a similiar idea with the picture beside. In the picture, the person used butterflies and I changed it to birds. The first drawing, I would actually use a real watch and draw some birds since birds could represent the action of "flying" as well.
Why did I come up with these ideas?
When I was thinking about my ideas for this project, I came up with "time flies" right away. As you know, we are students and we don't have a lot of time. As we get older, we realise that we actually don't have a lot of time left for us to spend anymore. Through this project, I could express that we should treasure and cherish time.Our time is extremely important. Everyday, we need to spend time on doing homework, studying, revising...etc, and that is why I thought of this theme. For the second one. Freedom from distubance, definition of peace.
Wars happen everywhere between countries, people died from protest. People never thought about how hatred influence the different sides of humans. Peace is the only thing to maintain two countries calm. Peace is not only for governments but everyone. Everyone shold know about peace and that is the only way to keep this world less wars or arguments. Innocent people died from the wars, people who lost their families from it are traumatised. This clearly shows peace and time are important to people.
=Our group's photos are representing "Sun" As everyone knows, sun gives us warmth or gives off heat. Kids tend of think of positive things when they see the sun. It makes us feel warm when the weather is chilly. We want to express the positivity of the sun throught this project. It also symbolises the power to produce life, without the sun, nothin to grow and that is why our photos would be related to the nature as well. In some of the cultures, like Egyptians, the Sun God is the leader among all the God. We can see how sun has a huge impact on humans. Sun is a important source for photosynthesis or giving us vitamin. Without sun, a lot of problem will occur in this world. For the second photo, there are somesunflowers near the sun. This influenced me with the idea of "yellow flowers." When i saw this picture, it gave me a feeling of warmth since sunflowers are always facing the Sun. However, we could not buy large amounts of sunflowers and we chose yellow chrysanthemum instead. It give a strong feelings of nature as well.

Dominique Bollinger
He is a famous French photography artist. Currently he lives near Rome since 1986. He has been being an photography artist for 40 years. He won a lot of awards such as “Prix Kodak de la critique photographique” in Paris, as known as the Kodak Critics' Award. In 2010, he even had his own gallery in Tuscany where is near Siena. His artworks are usually black and white. To be frank, Dominique Bollinger actually liked colourful things. However, he personally think black and white directly shows the meaning of the picture or essence of the objects he take pictures of .When he was fourteen years, he totally got amazed by the process of photgraphy art. His brother was once printed some artistic photos in front of him, since then it influenced his mind. His father once asked him what his dream job is, without thinking, he said " Photgraphy artist."
His artworks influenced me since I am not really good at taking pictures of flowers or plants. When I first saw his pictures, I was actually surprised. His artworks are really simple, sometimes it is even a simple rock in a plain background. But the way he took the pictures and the lines on the rocks are so clear that it gives people a mysterious feeling. It shows artworks do not have to be complex or contain any deep meaning. You can do the way you want and sometimes the simple it is, the best it is. However, I personally don't like black and white since it makes the pictures look quite depressing in a way. The way he takes flowers make people feel like the flowers are actually vivid and lively.
