Process:
Girls tend to feel pretty and confident whenever they wear dress. I use mirror as reflection because this clearly shows how girls see themselves in the mirror. I wanted to show how pretty everyone is. They should appreciate themselves when they see themselves in the mirror. They should never feel ugly and embrace the self confidence.However, I realised the photography is a bit unnatural and odd. Since I don't think people who view this photo can actually tell the message I am trying to express, I decided to choose another one.
Since my theme of the dress is about flowers, I went to find any object that contain flowers with it. I found this floral umbrella which has white and red color in it. I thought it would be interesting since it could make the dress stands out more. However, I did not find a right angle for that which became quite weird in a way. I put the focus on the umbrella instead of the flowers on the dress.
Whenever people think of dresses, they think of closets. I used closet as a background since dresses are related to clothes. I thought it would be a great idea to use closet. But the flowers became black which doesn't really make the dress or the flowers became special.
When people wear dresses, they will match them with different pair of heels or shoes for the special event. I thought of using shoes cabinet as my background. The background was a bit too dark and dull which has a huge impact on the dress.
I drew the oil painting when I was 5 and I wanted to use floral objects as my main background. I wante to make use the part of the yellow part of the oil paint to match the empty space of the dress.
I went out of my place and found some grass, I used them as my background because flowers and grass are supposed to be together. This reminds people of nature and I think the green is very bright. That is why I chose that to be the colour of the flowers.
I put my drawing of the fashion design on a chair cusion. I like the patterns of the flowers since it contains pinkish white and red. Then I managed to use those colours to make the dress become more colourful. I really like this one because of how I made the flowers became different colours.
I used the similar concept with the chair cusion one and I found red bricks near my house.
This is the ground of the apartment and people usually think flowers have to be pink or blue or red. I wanted to show that flowers don't have to be brigh colours. Flowers can be pretty with dull colours and that is why I used the floor as my background since it had two colours on it.
